Happy 4th of July Mommas & Beans!

Ahhh, summer! Our favorite time of the year (unless it's Christmas time of course)! Nothing quite says summer like the Fourth of July. BBQs, popsicles, fireworks, bikinis, cocktails(err... mocktails), family fun. There's nothing better! To celebrate this year, we're sharing some of our Fourth of July Faves!

Bring on the Stars & Stripes! 
Holidays are our favorite excuse to get a little festive! And what's more adorable than baby rolls and chubby cheeks all dressed up in holiday cheer? We apologize in advance to our future beans for all the stars, stripes, pumpkins and Christmas lights that will make their way into their wardrobes. But hey, what are mommas for :)

Fun for the Beans

I created these bug catcher jars for Tatum's bug themed birthday party last year. I purchased mason jars, bug stickers, plastic bugs, mini magnifying glasses and glow sticks from a local craft store. I made my own green "grass" from green paper by using a shredder and crinkling it up. The children decorated their jars with the grass and stickers then added the magnifying glasses and glow sticks.
Since we still have some on hand my kids and I like to go out some times at night with our jars to collect fire flies. This can be a fun thing to do while out on the Fourth enjoying fire works. Get some glow sticks, flash lights, and your jars and catch some bugs! 

Fun for the Mommas

Oh how we miss our wine and cocktails! Especially during fun holidays like today. We searched and high and low and found some great "mocktail" recipes online so we too can enjoy a festive drink with everyone else.
